Dr Frank Machart is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialty interest in knee and shoulder surgery and medico-legal assessments.
Dr Machart is highly experienced, have been working for 20 years in public and private orthopaedic surgery and medico-legal field.
He graduated from The University of Sydney in 1980 and gained admission to the fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 1989. He is a fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA).
Dr Machart is currently a Visiting Medical Officer(VMO) at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and has been Head of The Department of Orthopaedic since January 2014. He has private hospital appointments at Sydney Private and Mater Hospital.
He has a commitment and dedicated time to training and mentoring medical students, Junior Medical Officers (JMO), registrars and fellowship trainees. He supervises research conducted at Bankstown Hospital.
Dr Machart is a highly experienced medico-legal assessor with over 20 years of experience in orthopaedic field. He has completed “Training in The Evaluation of Permanent Impairment” with WorkCover, MAA, and Telecom Conference and has been approved as approved medical specialist for Worker Compensation Commission (WCC), Motor Accidents Authority (MAA) Assessor and Medical Appeal Panel (MAP) Group for MAA.
Dr Machart is fluent in Czech and a die-hard Bulldogs’ fan.
